What we do

We deal with mental health, minors in difficulty, gender violence and forced migration. We promote the social inclusion of people who are denied their rights, to facilitate access to health services and education. We act to contribute to the improvement of services in the territories where we operate and to develop listening, support and care practices.

Field of intervention

GRT aims to find effective methods to support a way of thinking and a therapeutic practice in relation to the cultures of belonging. The goal is to strengthen suitable structures for the care and rehabilitation of the sick. But also to train and support local associations involved in the field of mental health.

Training

Within the Integrated Transcultural Clinical Center of GRT, psychologists, psychotherapists, psychiatrists, educators, cultural mediators and anthropologists collaborate in the integrated care of people who want to undertake a treatment path through a transcultural approach.

The transcultural method takes into account the connections between psyche and culture both with regard to the etiology of the pathology and with regard to the treatment path and the activation of internal and external resources to the individual.

Within the Center, upon specific request, it is possible to identify a cultural linguistic mediator of the same linguistic origin as the patient.

Clinical Center

GRT’s Integrated Transcultural Clinical Center operates with a team of professionals experienced in transcultural intake. Psychologists, psychotherapists, psychiatric physicians, educators and cultural mediators collaborate in the integrated care of patients in collaboration, where present, with the network of territorial services.

The goal is to offer a quality service to those who want a treatment intake that takes into consideration the connections between psyche and culture, both with regard to the etiology of the pathology and with regard to the treatment pathway and the activation of resources internal and external to the individual.
